'Provocateur' ain't your mama's cabaret...it was a politically charged super sexy funk rant backed by a soulful rhythm and blues band. It had 7 great performances at the funky 'Mama Calizo's Voice Factory' in the heart of the SOMA district.
Beth was overjoyed at the wonderful response from its audiences, who were moved to laughter as well as tears, while drinking in the top shelf cocktails served in tandem with complimentary gourmet nibbles. 'Provocateur' was led by the colorful Master of Ceremonies, Jason Wyman, and lifted into soaring harmonies by its beautiful backup singers, Daphne Morgen and Lauren Farah. Merging the sexy world of cabaret with the passion of activism, Provocateur dealt with social and political issues that have travelled through the decades - reproductive freedom, marriage equality, voter turn-out, protesting the war, and sexual liberation!
